Mikayla Souza

I am deeply passionate about guiding individuals through life's challenges. I have a Bachelor's degree in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Rhode Island and a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling. My educational background allows me to bring a comprehensive and empathetic approach to counseling that acknowledges the complexities of human relationships, family dynamics, and individual development on mental health.

While I work with a wide range of clientele, I specialize in adolescents and young adults. This population is often exploring their identity, values and purpose. As a clinician, I believe in the profound importance of this self discovery process. Using a person centered, strengths based approach, I tailor sessions to the unique needs of the client. By focusing on strengths and acknowledging resilience, a foundation for emotional well being may be built. This process not only aids in managing immediate challenges but equips clients with lifelong skills for maintaining a healthy mental state as they progress through different stages of life.

If you are seeking a space where your story is heard without judgment, I am here to offer that. I am committed to providing a safe and confidential environment where you can openly explore your thoughts and emotions.
